You’ll be joining as a Technical Design Manager in the Packaging Distribution sector supporting the National Account Managers with innovative and tailored design solutions. You will be working with its largest accounts, some of the biggest, well-known brands within retail/high street, electrical/white goods and automotive sectors to name a few.
The team you will be joining is skilled, lively and hardworking, your skill set and ability must match. You must have the confidence and knowledge to go to a clients site conduct an audit, take pictures etc and come back to produce 3D designs.
You will benefit from working in a NEW and dedicated Innovation Lab, and I’m not talking about a CAD table in the corner with one designer. You will have access to all the latest equipment, including Microsoft Hololens to keep you ahead of the competition.
How has this role come about? Two words: growth and investment. 2018 was a cracking year, one of the busiest ever and it hasn’t stopped. It’s simple really; it knows its markets, it understands its customers, and it does a damn good job at providing the best services it possibly can.
What will you be doing?
Besides providing tailored design solutions to existing and potential customers. You will ensure that cost savings and management is controlled and achieved, but also ensuring that your indirect cost savings are met.
You must be able to listen and communicate with your customers’, identify needs and requirements. You’ll consistently be taking briefs and using a range of different design software as well as keep up to date with the latest market trends.
- Skilled in using Kasemake CAD system, SketchUp Pro, Adobe CC and/or Solidworks
- Worked in a customer facing packaging design position
This is a growing department, therefore, as the department grows so will you.
You will take part in a two-stage interview process with the second stage including a presentation based on a given case study.
