Business Development Manager / Director – UK Wide

    Our Client are a leading name in end-to-end personalized customer communication solutions, with a particular focus on outbound platforms and capabilities which support this proposition. Due to an excellent 2019 and some fairly ambitious growth plans for 2020 and beyond, they are looking to add a senior business development professional to their team.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver new business to agreed targets
    • Develop targeted pipelines and delivery plans
    • Lead on Client bids – both engagement with the client and co-ordinating team efforts
    • Interface with wider business to develop innovative client solutions
    • Support the delivery of sustained profit growth from relevant accounts
    • Understand the organization of each potential client, identify the key decision makers and develop key relationships at a senior level – involve senior account sponsors as appropriate
    • Keep abreast of market developments and work with relevant colleagues within the business to drive forward their proposition
    • Represent the company, it’s values and strategy: act as an ambassador for the company



    • A sound grasp of Customer Communication solutions, technology and market landscape
    • A good knowledge of Document Composition services and products
    • A strong background in building and selling multi-channel customer communication solutions to blue chip clients
    • A good broad knowledge and understanding of the products and services of the business along with an understanding of how these compare to their competitor’s offerings
    • Ability to develop quickly a good knowledge of their business strategies and be able to present this strategy to potential clients in a compelling way
    • A good understanding of the business undertaken by key target markets, their business issues, future plans and market landscape
    • Knowledge of the financial management / budget processes and their applications
    • A basic working knowledge of general financial issues such as cash flow, working capital, net present value and how to influence these
    • Understanding of key contractual terms
